Most eye care professionals recommend that people get their eyes checked every one to two years depending upon age, risk factors, and whether or not you are currently wearing glasses or contacts because eye health is important. In fact, when most of us go to the eye doctor we are generally given a set of numbers (20/20, 20/40, 20/60 ...) to let us know how our eyes are doing. Truth be told, most desire to have 20/20 vision because it is considered normal visual acuity. In other words, 20/20 vision means that the clarity and sharpness of a person's eyesight enable them to see things clearly. And as we begin the year 2020, we want to make sure that we are seeing clearly and our spiritual visual acuity is in check to handle the upcoming year! Because this new year may bring new challenges, new opportunities, new levels of living, and new growth if our vision is in check. In our text, we see a few things necessary for 20/20 spiritual vision to take into the year 2020. Here we find that direction, discipleship, and determination are key components to thriving this year!
