Why do we hold on to the past? Why do we cling to things that are no longer relevant in our lives? Why is it so difficult to let go of experiences that have caused us pain and suffering? We don't have to be shackled to hurts, heartaches, and pains from past experiences.
In our text, Esau shows us how to get past our past and let things go. Esau's brother Jacob had done some wrong stuff to Esau. However, he did not allow their past to keep him stuck in the past. In order to let go of the past, we must be willing to take a chance, take an assessment, and take charge of our lives.
