Last week we began journeying with Jacob, who is challenged to move completely out of his comfort zone. Jacob has to leave the comforts of his family and childhood home. He is traveling to a land to establish his own family and future.
However, the uncertainty of such a journey can cause one to become pessimistic or paralyzed by the fear of the unknown. Very often in life, we are faced with opportunities to grow and develop, however the fear of uncertainty and the unknown can cause us to pause, delay or even decline such opportunities. Yet we see in Jacob how it is that we can rise above the uneasy feelings associated with uncertainty. We must remember that God goes before us and is always willing and able to put the right people in our paths to help us while on our journey out of our comfort zones. So don't allow the uncertainty of opportunities to keep you forever in your comfort zone!
