All of us face pressure situations in our lives. There can be pressure on our jobs, tensions in our families, ups and downs in our relationships. Just about all aspects of life carry a degree of pressure. Some of us are able to handle the pressures of life, while others tend to crumble under pressure. Here in our text, we find a man named Stephen, who's just been selected as a leader in the church. Stephen finds himself under great pressure from religious and political opponents during his day. Yet, we see that Stephen is able to stand under the pressure. We can take a page out of Stephen's life and see that character, courage, and commitment are necessary to stand under the pressures of life.
