As we continue to follow David through the transition of such a tragic situation like losing your loved ones and resources, we find that there are some major benefits to encouraging yourself. When you can't seem to find anyone who is willing or aware enough to encourage you through a difficult time, make sure you understand that there are some benefits to encouraging yourself.
We see from David's situation that some of the benefits of encouraging ourselves are opened doors of opportunity, aids us in overcoming difficulties, and we obtain God's favor. David was extremely blessed by not giving up like others around him but pressing his way made a way for others.
