A few years ago, Stanford Brain Institute surmised in a cognitive study that the average person only uses about 2% of their potential, leaving the other untapped, unused, and untried. Initially, I felt like this assertion couldn't be remotely close to the truth. However, it may not come as a surprise, when considering the number of people who may truly operate their lives on auto-pilot. For instance, how often does the average person do any significant activity that requires high mental performance? When an individual's day does not require any thinking, just routine; get up, brush teeth, drive the same route to a rote job, eat lunch, get on social media, come home, eat dinner, watch tv, go to bed... And there is no stimulation of the mind, body, and soul. Then the same thing all over again the next day. We can run the risk of getting used to so many routines that we do not totally tap into our amazing! God has made each of us amazing men and women, yet we have to allow our amazing to be unveiled!
The man in our text has been living beneath his amazing potential for far too long. However, when he has an encounter with God this man's life is truly transformed and his amazing ability is unveiled. We too can live far beyond the limits and/or restrictions placed on ourselves or by others. We can become individuals, as well as marriages/families who are functioning at full capacity and doing amazing things. Allow God to unveil your amazing and move beyond mundane routines in life.
