All of us face challenges in life, whether it is a temporary failure in business, or the loss of a job, or a relationship heading for divorce. And as humans, we often tend to take action best when we think things are certain and to ensure that it works, we plan every detail of the process. But, at some point in life, we may be dealt a huge disappointing blow. Sometimes in life, we can encounter something that we're not certain of, something that isn't easy to get beyond, or something that's not necessarily changing immediately. Have you ever had something going on that no matter what you tried it just didn't get better? The woman in our text has been crippled by a spirit for 18 years, she has been living with this physical issue for well over a decade without any release. She even attended worship, yet there was no change in her situation. Her name is not mentioned, but her physical condition is emphasized in this story. However, we see that even when life deals us a dilemma or difficulty that appears beyond repair, we can rely on God seeing our situation, speaking to our situation, and standing beside us concerning our situation. So there is no need to panic when we feel overwhelmed by life situations.
