“When Things Don’t Make Sense”

Bible Text: |

Unbelievable. Inconceivable. Unimaginable. Shocking. Heartbreaking. This can't'be true. This doesn't make sense.  Most if not, all of the world have thought or uttered the aforementioned this past week as news of the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter (GiGi), the Altobelli family, Mr. Zobayan, Mrs. Christina Mauser, Sarah and Payton Chester was announced. This tragic news has shocked the world!

Many have struggled trying to wrap their minds around this situation because it just doesn't make sense. And the reality is that sometimes in this life you and I will encounter some experiences that just don't make sense. And when things don't make sense in our minds we tend to wrestle with how to handle them. In fact, sometimes the pressure and trauma can become so great that mentally we don't know what to do.

However, here in Paul's second letter to the Corinthian church we find some ways to handle life when things don't make sense.  We see that there are some situations in life that do not have human remedies and we have to rely on the comfort of God, a comprehensive understanding of God, and maintain a commitment to God or we may lose it in this world of inexplicable experiences.
